If you have been thinking about booking a fishing charter in Daytona Beach, fall is the single best time to do it — and right now, we are making it the most affordable too.
The water cools down, the baitfish stack up, and the predators follow. From bull sharks to kingfish to redfish, October fishing in Daytona Beach is as good as it gets anywhere on the East Coast.
Water temperature drops into the sweet spot. As summer heat fades, water temps fall into the 72-78 degrees F range — the ideal temperature for most of the species we target.
The mullet run changes everything. Every fall, massive schools of mullet migrate south along the Florida coast, triggering a feeding frenzy that pulls in redfish, snook, tarpon, sharks, and just about every other predator in the water.
Baitfish are everywhere. More bait means more fish — and more action for you.
Crowds thin out. Summer brings tourists. Fall brings serious anglers and shorter wait times for the best spots.
Spanish mackerel and kingfish are running hard, cobia show up in numbers, and amberjack are stacked on the nearshore reefs. Push further offshore and you will find mahi-mahi, wahoo, and blackfin tuna making their fall migrations through the Gulf Stream.
Fall is arguably the best time of year for shark fishing near Daytona Beach. Bull sharks, blacktip sharks, and spinner sharks are all active in the nearshore waters. The cooler water and abundant bait make them aggressive and willing to eat.
The Mosquito Lagoon absolutely fires up in the fall. Redfish are schooling in huge numbers, trout are moving into the grass flats, and snook are staging near the inlets.
